Terms of Service
Effective from
These terms are the agreement between you and Volodymyr Triapichko, Sytova 6 apt 56, Zaporizhzhya, Ukraine, 69050 ("we", "us") for the use of this website and the tinyCCTV app (together, the "service"). By creating an account or using the service you accept them. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
1. What the service is
tinyCCTV lets you watch live video from network video recorders and IP cameras in a web browser. You add a device by its network address and login, and the service connects to it on your behalf and shows its cameras.
The service shows live video only. It does not record, does not send alarms and is not a security or safety system. Do not rely on it to protect people or property.
2. Your account
- You need a Google account (or an Apple account in the iOS app) to sign in.
- You must be at least 16 years old and able to enter into a contract.
- You are responsible for everything done through your account. Keep the account you sign in with secure.
- One account is for one person or one organisation. Do not share it publicly.
3. Your devices and your responsibility
You may connect only devices and streams that you own or are authorised to view. You are responsible for:
- having the right to access each device and to view its video;
- following the laws that apply to video surveillance and privacy where the cameras are, including informing the people who are filmed where the law requires it;
- listening to sound lawfully. Where a camera picks up sound, the service lets you hear it when you turn it on. Many countries protect conversations more strictly than pictures, and listening to people who do not know or have not agreed may be forbidden. Turn the sound on only where you are allowed to listen;
- the security of your devices, including their passwords, firmware and network exposure.
To show the video, the service stores the login you enter for a device and connects to it from our servers. The device has to be reachable from the internet. We recommend a separate device user limited to live view.
4. Free trial and purchase
- Trial. A free trial of 7 days starts when you first sign in. During the trial you can add one device.
- After the trial. Live view requires one of the two plans. Your account and devices are kept.
- Simple. A single one-time payment. You can add any number of devices of any kind, and watch the streams that your browser or app can open by itself, such as public HTTPS streams. Video that has to pass through our servers, such as recorder channels and RTSP cameras viewed in a browser, is not included. Simple is not a subscription and does not renew.
- "One-time" means for the life of the service. Simple lasts for as long as we operate tinyCCTV. It is tied to your account and cannot be transferred or resold.
- Pro. A monthly subscription that adds everything that runs on our servers: recorders and IP cameras relayed to your browser, their sound in the browser, and H.265 conversion. Video relayed through our servers is limited to 50 GB per account per calendar month, which is several hours of viewing every day; past it, video through our servers pauses until the next month, while the mobile apps, which play cameras directly, keep working. It renews automatically every month at the price shown when you subscribed, until you cancel. You can cancel at any time in the app or in your store account; Pro then stays active until the end of the month already paid for and does not renew. If you also own Simple, you keep it afterwards.
- Changes to the Pro price. We tell you at least 30 days before a new price applies to your subscription. If you do not agree, you can cancel before it does.
- Which plan a device needs depends on the device and on how you view it, and can differ between the browser and the mobile apps. The app shows it before you pay; use the trial to check your own devices.
- Price and taxes. The price is shown before you pay and includes or adds taxes as the checkout states.
- Where you pay. Purchases on the web are processed by Stripe. Purchases in the mobile apps are processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play under their own terms.
Refunds and right of withdrawal
If you bought Simple on the web, or started a Pro subscription on the web, and are not satisfied, write to us within 14 days of that first payment and we will refund it. This also covers the statutory right of withdrawal of consumers in the European Union and the United Kingdom. After a refund the account returns to its state before the purchase. Later monthly payments for Pro are not refunded; cancel to stop the next one. Purchases made through the App Store or Google Play are refunded by Apple or Google under their rules. Rights you have under mandatory consumer law are not affected.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- connect devices or streams you have no right to access, or try to guess addresses or passwords;
- use the service to watch people unlawfully or to break any law;
- use the service to scan, probe or attack networks or devices;
- disrupt the service, get around its limits, or access it by automated means other than the app;
- resell the service or offer it to others as your own;
- copy, modify or reverse engineer the service, except where the law allows it regardless of these terms.
6. Availability and changes
We work to keep the service available, but we do not promise that it will be uninterrupted or free of errors. Whether a particular device works depends on its model, firmware, settings and network, which we do not control. Use the trial to check that your devices work before you buy.
We may change, add or remove features. If we decide to end the service, we will announce it at least 60 days in advance in the app and on this website.
7. Third parties and trademarks
The service works with products and services of other companies, such as your camera manufacturer, Google, Apple and Stripe. We are not responsible for them, and their own terms apply to your use of them.

8. Our rights in the service

9. Privacy
How we handle personal data is described in the Privacy Policy. For the people who appear in your video, you decide why and how they are filmed and viewed, and you are responsible towards them.
10. Warranty disclaimer

11. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows:
- we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for lost profit or data, or for loss caused by an event that the service did not show, such as a theft, an intrusion or an accident;
- our total liability for all claims connected with the service is limited to the amount you paid us for it in the twelve months before the claim.
Nothing in these terms limits liability for intent, gross negligence, death or personal injury, or any other liability that cannot be limited by law.
12. Ending the agreement
You can stop using the service at any time and ask us to delete your account. We may suspend or close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms, or where the law requires it. Where we can, we warn you first and give you a chance to put things right. If we close an account for a breach, a purchase is not refunded, unless the law requires otherwise.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms, for example when the service or the law changes. The new version is published here with a new effective date. If a change is significant, we announce it in the app or by email at least 14 days before it applies. If you continue to use the service after that date, the new terms apply to you.
14. Applicable law
These terms are governed by the laws of law of Ukraine.If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory rules of the country where you live, and you may bring a claim before the courts of that country. If a part of these terms turns out to be invalid, the rest stays in force.
